Animated Fusion Bellydance: Introduction to Movement Design (LA) $45

This workshop introduces dancers to the art of movement design through the lens of fusion bellydance and animation. We’ll revisit core fusion fundamentals while exploring fingertutting—an intricate hand-focused animation style—to bring greater detail and intentionality to performance. Dancers will deepen their improvisational skills with guided discussion on flow, presence, and integrating bellydance into contemporary spaces like cyphers. The session concludes with an intermediate choreography and an optional freestyle cypher to apply and embody the concepts learned.
